WELLBEING AT WORK 2022 CONFERENCE

On behalf of the Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute (CIOP-PIB) and the Partnership for European Research in Occupational Safety and Health (PEROSH), we are very pleased to invite you to participate in the 6th International Conference on Wellbeing at Work to be held ONLINE from 13 to 15 June 2022.

WELLBEING IN HECTIC TIMES

Wellbeing at work has been an increasingly important topic on scientific and political agendas across the world in last decades. Employee wellbeing is key to the efficient and effective operation of businesses. Optimising wellbeing will improve the worker experience and lead to happy, healthy and productive workplaces. This has recently become even more important as we observe and face significant changes in our work and private lives due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many workers around the world have experienced increased job insecurity, changes in working hours, work-related stress, mental health symptoms or job loss, but also increased use of new technologies and remote work or increased flexibility. At the same time, global challenges such as new forms of work and digitisation, demographic changes, globalisation, precariousness or the need for diversity and inclusion at work continue to be significant factors to consider in current research and public agendas. Looking ahead, a question arises of what new post-pandemic challenges will emerge in the world of work.

In these challenging times, we are particularly eager to focus on how working in the hectic world affects the working conditions and wellbeing of different groups of workers, and what methods and tools – from leadership practices, through workers’ and organisational resilience, to the variety of organisational interventions, and more – could be used to sustain or improve wellbeing and facilitate recovery. PEROSH has been focussing on wellbeing at work for many years, and is very keen to push forward the science in order to develop evidence-based solutions.
