The health and social care sector has traditionally been ahead of the curve in datafication and digitalisation trends. Accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the continued technological and societal changes affect not only the workers in the sector but also the affordability and quality of care provision.
This paper of EU-OSHA offers evidence on the occupational safety and health (OSH) risks and opportunities of digital platform work in the sector, and its findings aim to help policymakers and platforms to address and manage workers’ needs as well as to strengthen health systems across the EU.
