37th A+A International Congress 2021:
Successful presence for occupational safety and health

The 37th A+A Congress 2021 took place as a successful face-to-face event, focusing on the essential topics in occupational safety and health. For the first time, parts of the congress were also streamed online. Dr Christian Felten, Managing Director of the Basi, is pleased: “We are glad that we were able to welcome our guests and speakers at a presence congress that deserved its name: A four-digit number of participants – around 1500 – experienced a multitude of high-quality contributions and finally exchanged ideas on site again.“

Important were classical fields like exposure to carcinogenic hazardous substances or musculoskeletal disorders caused by work. Many participants were also interested in workplace organization. Dr Felten: “However, the audience’s interest equally focused on topics such as safe and healthy working in international supply chains, digitization in the workplace like support through exoskeletons, new work and mobile working.“ According to the Basi Managing Director, many congress visitors were interested in aspects such as the organization of the workplace at home, psychological stress in the home office or the difficulty of leading a team that is not in one place. In this context, helpful solutions were presented at the congress. Thanks to the digital possibilities it was possible to connect speakers from all over the world. They presented their scientific contributions on the subject of occupational safety and health via screen in Düsseldorf and discussed them with those who were present.

That was the 37th A+A Congress 2021
