TOS+H EXPO 2020 at new exhibition centre in Istanbul

In Istanbul TOS+H EXPO continues its positive development as the most important regional event for occupational safety and health from 3 to 6 May 2020. Demand for exhibition space is high because safety and health at work are as important as ever for Turkish companies. The trade fair and congress benefit from a strong OSH legislation with far-reaching safety provisions that impact all sectors of Turkish industry, education and the mining sector. This year some 95,000 new jobs are to be created by investment in occupational health and safety by the Ministry for Industry and Technology.

For companies from Europe and overseas participation in TOS+H EXPO is an interesting gateway to the markets in South Eastern Europe and Asia. Visitors are in for a versatile line-up of ranges that cover all areas of prevention – from personal protective equipment and corporate health management to workplace design. This year’s top themes for exhibitors are sustainability as a basis for occupational safety and health as well as the digitalisation of work.

Messe Düsseldorf, the organiser of the world’s leading Trade Fair for Safety, Security and Health at Work A+A, and its local partner Tezulas Fuar will be staging the trade fair at the new and centrally located ICC – Istanbul Congress Center for the first time now. Exhibitor registrations are well underway, over 70% of the total exhibition space has already been booked. So far, international companies from Belgium, China, Germany, Great Britain, Taiwan, Turkey and Spain have confirmed their participation. These include newcomers as well as world market leaders such as Ansell, Ates Insaat San. Taahhut Tic A.S., Ismont Tekstil Uretim Paz. San ve Tic A.S, Mekap Deri ve Ayakkabı San ve Tic A.S., UVEX and WR Turkey Eldiven A.S. A good omen for the TOS+H EXPO to be held in Istanbul for the fourth time now.

Also held in parallel with the trade fair, the 10th International Occupational Safety and Health Congress will provide a comprehensive overview of current themes concerning safe and healthy work. The renowned Congress will be organised by the Turkish Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services (CSGB). From 3 to 6 May 2020 experts will deliver talks on and discuss the following themes:

•    Management models for safety and health
•    Education in occupational safety and health
•    Effective communication methods for occupational safety and health
•    Occupational safety and health in transportation
•    New approaches for education in occupational safety and health
•    Industrial toxicology
•    Scenarios in emergency situations
•    Legal aspects of occupational safety and health
•    Occupational safety and health in the media as well as in the public sector

The trade fair and congress are held every two years. TOS+H EXPO 2018 saw 115 international exhibitors participate on more than 2,398 square metres of booked space. Over 92% of the 5,034 trade visitors rated their trade fair visit very positively.
