How can algorithmic and Artificial Intelligence-based worker management (AIWM) systems improve productivity without impacting negatively on workers’ safety and health?  A new EU-OSHA report compares the approaches of two automotive companies: a participatory, worker-inclusive model in Italy versus a hierarchical, top-down model in Belgium.

Worker involvement in the implementation of AIWM in the workplace reduces stress, and enhances safety and well-being, showing that AIWM can improve occupational safety and health (OSH) when collaboration is prioritised.
