Ground Floor, Room 02

German-English simultaneously

Organizer:
German association of manufacturers of personal protective equipment (IVPS)
Personal Protective Equipment expert committee of the DGUV (German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the building trade)

Personal protective equipment (PPE) makes safe work possible at a great many hazardous workplaces at which collective protective measures cannot be implemented. The PPE must be suitable for the particular circumstances under which it is used, satisfy ergonomic requirements, and not give rise to new or additional hazards.
The ongoing development of working methods and environments continually presents the manufacturers of PPE, and also companies and users, with new challenges. The use of new materials and of smart and innovative approaches enables solutions to be developed that substantially enhance safety and the protection of health.
This event provides experts from the areas of product development, research, standardization, occupational safety and health, and the use of PPE by workers at work with practical information from the areas of hearing protection, PPE against falls from a height, protective clothing and hand protection.
