Dr. Jan Beringer was born in 1972 in Ostfildern near Stuttgart/Germany. After studying chemistry with special subject textile and fiber chemistry (PhD) at the University of Stuttgart, he started his career by entering the Hohenstein Institutes in 2003. After 7 years heading Research and Development of the Department Function and Care, he is now part of the International Sales Team since 2019 as Senior Scientific Expert. Dr. Jan Beringer has extensive knowledge in textile and fiber Chemistry, clothing physiology / thermal comfort, microplastic/-fibers and is an expert in PPE (personal protective equipment), compression, 3D Scanning, sizing and fit and digital garment construction.
