Dr. Nadja Schilling leads the Department of Research & Projects in the Occupational Safety and Health Directorate of the BG Verkehr (German Social Accident Insurance Institution for Commercial Transport, Postal Logistics and Telecommunication). Since 2020, she is the Secretary General of the International Section on Prevention in Transportation of the ISSA and also responsible for the BG Verkehr's road safety work. Dr. Schilling is a biologist with a special training in Comparative Anatomy, Evolutionary Biology and Physiology. Her 20 yearlong research career with a special focus on work-related human back pain paved the way for her to enter the world of occupational safety, health and wellbeing.
